What's Included

Every Service,
Done With Care

We don't outsource, automate, or cut corners. Here's what each service actually means at Squire Press.

Copyediting

A thorough line-by-line edit for grammar, syntax, consistency, clarity, and style. Delivered with a style sheet and an author query log so every change is transparent and discussable.

Proofreading

A careful final pass on laid-out pages or a clean manuscript, catching errors that survived earlier stages. The last line of quality control before your book goes to print.

Cover Design

Two original concepts, two rounds of revisions, and final delivery as a print wrap (with bleed and spine) plus an e-book cover. Built to work at thumbnail scale and on a physical shelf.

Interior Layout

Professional typesetting using industry tools: running heads, styled front and back matter, TOC, proper widows-and-orphans control, and a print-ready PDF preflighted to your printer's specifications.

EPUB Creation

A clean, validated EPUB built to pass EPUBCheck — ready for submission to KDP, IngramSpark, Kobo, Apple Books, and all major retailers without reformatting.

Distribution Setup

We prepare your files for upload to your own KDP and/or IngramSpark accounts, with metadata guidance to maximise discoverability. You own the accounts, the files, and the royalties.

In Their Words

What Authors Say

Working with Jack and Squire Press has been an incredibly positive experience. After years of setting my novel aside, this process gave me the confidence and motivation to breathe new life into the project.

What impressed me most was Jack's ability to recognize the strengths of my work while providing an honest, thoughtful assessment of what needed to happen next. Rather than focusing on what I lacked as an unpublished writer with no formal training, he treated my work with respect and encouraged me to see its potential.

The Rescue & Repair Audit was exceptionally thorough, insightful, and practical. It didn't simply identify problems—it provided a clear roadmap for moving forward. I now have a much deeper understanding of my manuscript, greater confidence in my writing, and a concrete plan for completing my first draft.

If you're a writer looking for professional, constructive guidance that is both candid and encouraging, I would highly recommend Jack and Squire Press.
